the light

Do you ever spend your days fantasizing about your light at the end of your tunnels (yes, plural)? When your day-to-day is a tad bit more stressful than usual and you just let your mind wander to what's coming up? Yah that's me right now. 100 percent.

Right now I'm dreaming of our beautiful home.

My last apartment became my project of pride and joy. I spent a lot of time (and money) making that place my little home.

Now that we've found our home and it's officially ours in one months time... my mind is just racing. Paint colours. Vacuum cleaners (we need one). Washer and dryer (need one of those too). Walls. Space. Furniture. Craftiness. Ahhhh the joy.

My sweet boy is oh so talented when it comes to anything tree-oriented. Not only is he a tree climber extraordinaire, but he's also been busy in the wood shop. I can't hardly wait until all these pieces come together. Not to mention my role in making the art pieces. Makes my little heart flutter with joy.

We have lots of ideas and some underway!

So since my debt diet is one of my huge priorities right now, making instead of spending is the fun alternative. It's way cooler to make than buy anyway.

We also have plans (okay I help decide, he does) to make a guest bed frame, a crazy awesome still in our head designed lounge bench area (I need to learn how to make pillows stat) and a super cool candle "fireplace".

One of my favourite things about us is how creative we are together. We really bring that out in each other, and together I know that we're going to make a beautiful, unique and rustic home.
