Oh man... somebody pinch me.

I started snowboarding in the 5th grade and became pretty avid in my early teen years and in high school. For some reason even though I loved it a ton I kind of stopped for many years in between end of high school and now. I've gone maybe 10 times since the 11th grade, and that's kind of insane considering I used to go 3-4 times a week.

My brother was huge into snowboarding. Well... actually any extreme sport, but snowboarding was certainly a passion of his. We shared this together, and if you remember ICQ (it might have been just a Canadian thing) his name was Boarder_Bob and naturally I was Betty_Boarder. Don't ask... we were just cool like that.

This year I decided I really wanted to get back into it again, but I don't really have anyone to go with. I went once in Ottawa on a date, which just reignited the passion for boarding (sadly, not with him...sorry bud haha). I knew I had the opportunity to visit a friend in the mountains this March and decided it was time to ditch my old crap board and get a new one for the trip. Luckily, I've got some connections back home and got hooked up big time with a brand new last seasons board for $200 (ummm, usually they're like $400-500).

Anyway, let me just say this trip has reignited this passion of mine and I need  to get on the slopes more before the snow melts.

The mountains are incredible. The boarding is something else. I just want to drop everything and become a ski board bum (don't worry I won't).

But I will be trying to get out to the mountains as much as possible between now and forever.
